Moscow Boat Show-2009 was opened at the Crocus Expo IEC

The Second exhibition of boats and yachts Moscow Boat Show one of the most significant events for yachting business professionals and active leisure fans was opened February 7, 2009 in the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre. The specialized caravanning-oriented exhibition Caravanex will be held alongside with the Moscow Boat Show.

Full range of companies involved into yachting business and small vessels participate in the event. About 60 boats and 9 sailing yachts are presented on space exceeding 16 000 sq m. More than 150 companies from 14 regions of Russia and from Germany, Greece, Denmark, Italy, Latvia, the USA and Finland present their goods and services at the 2nd Second International Specialized Exhibition Moscow Boat Show. In terms of number of exhibitors the edition of 2009 twice exceeded figures of the previous.

Aras Agalarov, President ZAO CROCUS INTERNATIONAL, Dmitry Zelenin, Governor of Tver region, President of Russian Federation of Water Motor Sport, Nikolai Dyablov, Deputy State Inspector on small vessels of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Russia, Evgeny Filonenko, Director General of Rescue Water Service of the Russian Rescuers Union, Alexander Makarov, President of the National Marine Industry Association, Arkady Zlotnikov, First Deputy Director Crocus Expo IEC, and Ekaterina Grishechkina, Director of exhibition Moscow Boat Show, opened the exhibition of boats and yachts.

Dmitry Zelenin, Governor of Tver region, noted that despite economic changes in the world, desire of people to rest on fine Russian water areas does not decrease. It is pleasant that innovative national technologies and new samples of small size vessels which are made on the Russian shipyards are presented at the exhibition Moscow Boat Show at the Crocus Expo. The exhibition is also important in respect of youth and children water sports publicity and for experience share between experts. The president of the National Marine Industry Association confirmed Dmitry Zelenin's words that the exhibition Moscow Boat Show is a public event. All types of boats and yachts are presented at expositions in economic and middle class. One can find boats ranging from 1-2 thousand euro and up to 1 million euro at the exhibition.

All high-ranking visitors of the exhibition Moscow Boat Show-2009 came to a common opinion that further development of the branch requires state support and regulation, elimination of corruption elements and also more intensive cooperation with international organizations.

According to the president of the National Marine Industry Association Alexander Markarov "In spite of the fact that it is only the second edition of the Moscow Boat Show the project has already obtained international recognition. Germany experts expressed high interest in the market of small size vessels in Russia. There are preliminary agreements for water motor sports federations from several European countries to participate in 2010 in the exhibition.

The Second International exhibition of boats and yachts Moscow Boat Show-2009 will be open for the visitors daily till February 15, 2009 in the third pavilion Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre from 10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m.
