The 2^nd International Photoregatta Yachts! Sea! Enjoyment! is finishing

Till the end of photoregatta Yachts! Sea! Enjoyment! - a unique project organized by the yacht-club Green Island with support of the Moscow Boat Show exhibition management (Crocus Expo IEC) and Russian-Turkish tour operator AdriyatikSailing, remains hardly more than a week. For the past 8 weeks of the race photographers-marinists from Russia, Ukraine, Spain, Holland and Germany have pleased all yachting fans with remarkable multi-faceted pictures.

The photoregatta - 2008 started during an uneasy time for world economic: due to the crisis many companies, declaring earlier about their intention to assist the creative event, had to refuse participation in the project. However, despite the arisen complications the organizers made the decision on holding of the 2^nd International Photoregatta Yacht! Sea! Enjoyment! A movable Feast! It is pleasant that yachting fans and participants of the photoregatta share this opinion that proves to be true by pictures sent for competition. Kind words for support and constructive remarks on the photoregatta organization we address kievsails, svet, Cookie undead!, Raider, Apricot, link, hobbit, d'Ya and also welcome all those who has joined the ranks of the project participants and we are thankful to vvv, whose works have left nobody indifferent, Taiga for the professional approach and fearlessness, yana for wonderful sea landscapes, troofel for art vision, kvphoto for the drive. It should be noted that there were no glamour pictures of girls of modeling appearance in the present photo competition of sea and yacht fans but there were portraits and sketches presented by genuine sea "wolves".

Due to the fact that the unconditional leader by the results of on-line voting here already throughout several weeks becomes the participant acting under the nick vvv, the organizers of the photoregatta have made decision to encourage those whose works also have been noted by the visitors of the website. According to the results of the 4^th, 5^th, 6^th and 7^th weeks (since December 15, 2008 till January 12, 2009) the following authors were included into the list of winners: Taiga, Apricot, Nastasik, d'Ya. The organizers congratulate the winners of the weeks and wish all participants the best in the finishing spurt. The finish promises to be unforgettable because all photo yachtsmen possess both might and passion enough and to spare - sent pictures please the fans with increasing professionalism, drive, freshness of ideas. So stay on course! and keep full swing to the victory!

We would like to remind you that photo competition Yacht! Sea! Enjoyment! has been organized at the website www.gi-yachtclub.ru from November 24, 2008 till January 31, 2009. Each 7 days one of photographers is granted a miniprize of the week instituted by the official partner, company Wenger, the manufacturer of genuine Swiss knifes (http://www.wenger.ru). The summarizing of the overall results of the project and awarding ceremony will take place within the frames of the exhibition Moscow Boat Show 2009 at the Crocus Expo IEC February 14, 2009. The best works of the participants of the photoregatta will be presented at the stand № С442 from February 7 till 15, 2009. The winner will be awarded the rank of the best photomarinist 2008 and will be granted the voucher on participation in a real regatta from the yachting operator AdriyatikSailing.
