Open meeting of the working group on the development of river, cruise and yacht tourism of the Russian State Duma Committee for Tourism and Tourism Infrastructure Development took place February 27 within the frame of the Moscow Boat Show.
Representatives of the National Association of the Small Shipbuilding Industry (NAIMS) made a number of proposals aimed at the qualitative development of Russian small-sized shipbuilding. Among them:
1. Human capacity development
The association proposes to launch a large-scale training program for specialists, including the creation of a certified training system. This is not just training - it is the creation of a new generation of professionals who will bring the production and maintenance of small vessels to a qualitatively new level.
2. Establishment of Small Vessel Certification Centre
The lack of clear standards and expert mechanisms hinders the development of the market. The new center will become a growth point, systematizing the assessment and certification process. This will open up access to insurance services, lending and investment, which will give a powerful impetus for the development of the industry.
3. Development of the domestic production base
NAIMS initiates the creation of a complete production chain - from the development of composite materials to their commercial use in shipbuilding. This will reduce dependence on imports and increase the competitiveness of Russian manufacturers in the world market.
According to NAIMS, the implementation of these proposals will create a powerful impetus for the development of the Russian economy through the creation of new jobs, the inflow of investments and the development of related industries. It will also increase the competitiveness of Russian manufacturers in the world market. In addition, new opportunities will open up for river, cruise and yacht tourism, which is becoming more and more popular among Russians every year.
